4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT REFLECTION

Friends, we are getting close, really close, to Christmas! The question that we ask one another and we are asked many times is: Are you ready for Christmas? Is that true?

Hospitality and family are a beautiful part of Christmas. So we should make all of these preparations with love and Christian care. But, we also need to be getting our hearts ready for Christmas. And as we get ready, let’s try to accompany our Blessed Mother Mary and St. Joseph during these days. To really be able to celebrate Christmas in a beautiful way. Joseph was the man closest to Christ, just as Mary was the woman who was closest to him. And isn’t that where we all want to be — close to Jesus.

Let us pray: Father, all-powerful God, your eternal Word took flesh on our earth when the Virgin Mary placed her life at the service of your plan. Lift our minds in watchful hope to hear the voice which announces his glory and open our minds to receive the Spirit who prepares us for his coming. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
